Check and handle information reflecting land encroachment

On March 17, the Hanoi People's Committee issued Official Dispatch No. 945/UBND-TTDT to the People's Committee of Nam Tu Liem District to inspect and handle the information published by the press in the article "4.3 hectares of agricultural land in the middle of the capital "disappeared?" reflecting the situation of thousands of square meters of agricultural land in Me Tri Ward, Nam Tu Liem District being turned into warehouses, weighing stations, soccer fields... for many years but has not been completely handled.

Regarding this matter, Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh assigned the People's Committee of Nam Tu Liem District to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to urgently inspect and clarify the information reported by the press and strictly handle it according to the law. At the same time, consider the responsibility of collectives and individuals according to Directive No. 24-CT/TU dated August 7, 2023 of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee "On strengthening discipline, discipline and responsibility for handling work in the city's political system" if violations occur; report to the City People's Committee on the implementation results before March 28, 2025.

On the same day, March 17, the City People's Committee issued Official Letter No. 946/UBND-TTDT to the City Police to check the information reported by the press "Hanoi: Openly occupying tens of thousands of ^square meters of land, threatening to 'deal with' officials' relatives", reflecting the reality of tens of thousands of ^square meters of project land, resettlement land, and national defense land in Thach Hoa commune, Thach That district being occupied, leveled, exploited, and transported. Even when local authorities came to stop them, they were threatened to 'deal with' relatives, causing many people to be confused and worried.

Regarding this matter, the Chairman of the City People's Committee has directed the City Police to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to urgently inspect and clarify information reported by the press and strictly handle violations (if any). At the same time, consider the responsibility of collectives and individuals according to Directive No. 24-CT/TU dated August 7, 2023 of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee "On strengthening discipline, discipline and responsibility in handling work in the city's political system" if violations occur; report to the City People's Committee before March 27, 2025.
