On October 10, the Department of Education and Training (DET) of Thanh Hoa province said that after the announcement of the inspection conclusion, the Department's leaders directed Ngoc Lac High School to organize a review of the responsibilities of the staff and teachers directly related to the errors and incorrect scores that caused a candidate for the 10th grade entrance exam at Le Hong Phong High School (Bim Son town) to go from failing to passing as valedictorian.
On October 9, Ngoc Lac High School organized a council to review the responsibilities of the relevant members. As a result, disciplinary action was taken in the form of a reprimand for Ms. Ngo Thi Tuyet, a teacher at Ngoc Lac High School. Reviewing and drawing lessons from the staff and teachers of Ngoc Lac High School, including: Mr. Vu Ngoc Liem, Principal; Ms. Ngo Thi Thanh, Vu Thi Thuy, and Tran Thi Tu, all of whom are teachers.
The Department of Education and Training of Thanh Hoa province also said that it had asked the Principal of Le Hong Phong High School (Bim Son town) to discuss with the student's family and find a suitable private school for the student to continue studying. It is impossible for this student to study at a public school.
From the above incident, Thanh Hoa Department of Education and Training seriously learned from experience in directing and managing exams more closely, improving the responsibility of staff, strictly implementing exam regulations and instructions, and avoiding unfortunate mistakes.
As reported, after the end of the 10th grade entrance exam for public high schools in the 2024-2025 school year, the Thanh Hoa Department of Education and Training received a petition reflecting that a CTH candidate in exam room No. 6, Le Hong Phong High School Examination Council had average academic performance but unusually high test scores.
Through inspection and verification, it was found that the candidate's exam scores on the name and score board did not match the scores on the candidate's exam paper.
Specifically, the scores on the board are: Math 8.0 points, Literature 8.5 points and English 6.4 points, becoming the valedictorian of Le Hong Phong High School.
Meanwhile, the actual test scores of the candidates were 4.5 points in Math, 6.5 points in Literature and 2.4 points in English.
Immediately after the announcement of the conclusion, the leaders of the Department of Education and Training directed Le Hong Phong High School to organize the Admissions Council and re-examine candidates for CTH in accordance with regulations. Accordingly, CTH candidates did not have enough points to be admitted to Le Hong Phong High School.
