On the contrary, the average bank bond interest rate is about 4 - 6%/year, quite low compared to the bond interest rate level of other industry groups.

In addition, some banks' bonds have interest rates close to 8%/year, such as Ho Chi Minh City Development Joint Stock Commercial Bank ( HDBANK ), interest rates for some bond lots are at 7.47%, 7.8%/year; Viet A Commercial Joint Stock Bank (VietABank) has interest rates at 7.2%/year...

Although it is bringing double the profit of bank savings, this investment channel has not yet become active again. According to statistics on HNX, the total value of newly issued bonds in the first half of 2024 reached 116,422 billion VND. Meanwhile, in the year when bonds peaked (2021), the whole market recorded a total of 964 domestic issuances with a total value of 595,000 billion VND.
