According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment (DARD), Lam Dong province is currently organizing the implementation of specific land price determination for 25 projects.
Of these, 5 projects have been submitted to the Land Valuation Council and 20 projects are carrying out steps according to the land valuation process.

Lam Dong province has 48 major key projects and works. Currently, 22 projects and works are carrying out site clearance work. Some of them include: Ka Pet reservoir project, Son My I and Son My II industrial park projects, Bao Loc - Lien Khuong expressway project, Gia Nghia central square project, etc.
In general, the volume of land acquisition for constructions and projects in the province is very large. Although certain results have been achieved, the land acquisition work at the projects still has many problems. The progress of land acquisition for many projects is too slow compared to the plan, affecting the calling for and attracting investment.

Previously, land acquisition was carried out by the district-level People's Committee. After being reorganized into a two-level local government model, the Government has decentralized and delegated authority to the commune-level People's Committee Chairmen to carry out land acquisition, compensation, support, and resettlement.
After the administrative reorganization, Lam Dong province has 124 communes, wards and Phu Quy special zone. The Department of Agriculture and Environment has received reports from 34 commune-level administrative units and related units on difficulties and problems in site clearance.

At the meeting, leaders of the People's Committees of communes and wards of Lam Dong reported specifically on the progress, difficulties and obstacles of key projects and works in the area.
These difficulties are mainly related to: Economic and technical norms on land prices, land price lists, Land Valuation Council, Site Clearance Council, slow-progressing projects...

Leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Environment and other departments and branches directly answered some of the opinions raised by the communes and wards in the meeting. Specialized units also guided the People's Committees at the commune level to proactively carry out tasks within their authority to effectively carry out site clearance work.
According to Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Trong Yen, the delay in land acquisition and clearance is due to many subjective and objective reasons. Among them, the work of determining specific land prices is still slow and confusing, affecting the land acquisition and clearance work.

Therefore, the People's Committee at the commune level with the project must actively review, synthesize, and classify the difficulties to determine the authority and responsibility of the resolving unit. The People's Committee at the commune level needs to mobilize the participation of the entire political system to participate in propaganda work, mobilizing people to agree and hand over the site.
Comrade Le Trong Yen requested that investors proactively arrange competent staff to coordinate with departments, branches and commune-level People's Committees to thoroughly resolve difficulties in site clearance work. The Department of Agriculture and Environment shall preside over and coordinate with departments and branches to advise the Provincial People's Committee to resolve difficulties and problems arising to ensure consistency and flexibility.

We must uphold the spirit of responsibility, determination, unity and flexibility in implementing site clearance and completing major and key projects of the province.
Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Le Trong Yen
