From dealing with issues related to school violence, student health, to other issues with far-reaching impacts, school leaders need to know how to proactively provide information, communicate with the press in a sincere, open but also responsible manner. Currently, social networks are a channel for transmitting information quickly but can also become a source of rumors, false information and even media crises if not well controlled. Understanding and mastering how to interact on these platforms will help school leaders not only prevent potential crises but also take advantage of them to spread positive messages and a good image of the school and students.
