Ho Chi Minh City leaders visit families of war invalids and martyrs

No matter how much we do to show gratitude and repay the merits of war invalids, families of martyrs, Vietnamese heroic mothers, and all forces directly and indirectly involved in the cause of national liberation, it is not enough, and no matter how fast we do it, it is not enough. Therefore, we must make every effort to do this.

To celebrate the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day on July 27, delegations of Ho Chi Minh City leaders led by Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Ho Hai and Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai visited and presented gifts to a number of policy families in Ho Chi Minh City in recent days.

Visiting Mrs. Bui Thi Van (75 years old, residing in Ward 5, District 5), a resistance activist infected with toxic chemicals, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai kindly inquired about her health, sent words of encouragement and wished her to always live happily and healthily, and to always be an example for future generations.

The delegation also visited Mr. Do Tri Hue (80 years old, residing in Ward 7, District 5), a 1/4 class disabled veteran, who joined the army since 1965.

Mr. Hue fought in the Xa Mat battlefield ( Tay Ninh ) in 1966. During the battles here, Mr. Hue lost his left hand, lost one eye, had a wound through the middle third of his left arm, and had a blind forearm wound on the front of his forearm, with a disability rate of 81%.

Mr. Phan Van Mai expressed his gratitude and thanked Mr. Hue for sacrificing a part of his body to contribute to the construction and protection of the Fatherland. Mr. Mai also hoped that Mr. Hue would participate in contributing ideas to contribute to the development of Ho Chi Minh City to become better and better.

Mr. Phan Van Mai visited Mr. Le Quang Trinh (81 years old), a 3/4 class disabled veteran. Mr. Trinh is also the father of martyr Le Minh Ha who died in 1984 in Cambodia.

The delegation also visited and presented gifts to Mr. Luu Vi Nhu (73 years old, residing in Ward 11, District 5), a 4/4 class war invalid. Mr. Luu Vi Nhu participated in the revolution and was imprisoned by the enemy from 1966 to 1973.

Mr. Mai requested that relevant levels and sectors in the city make every effort to take good care of martyrs, wounded soldiers, people with revolutionary contributions, and policy families, and promptly resolve any arising issues.

At the same time, we encourage families to continue promoting the tradition of patriotism, overcoming all difficulties, developing family economy , and actively participating in activities to educate the current young generation about the tradition of patriotism.

On this occasion, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Ho Hai also visited and presented gifts to a number of policy families and meritorious people in Binh Chanh district and District 3 (Ho Chi Minh City).
