Dragon boat racing festival to celebrate the spring of Giap Thin 2024

On February 12 (the 3rd day of Tet), the People's Committees of Phuoc Diem and Ca Na communes (Thuan Nam) jointly organized the traditional Dragon Boat Racing Festival to celebrate the country's renewal, the glorious Party, and the year of the Dragon in 2024. Attending were leaders of Thuan Nam and Ninh Phuoc districts and thousands of people and tourists who came to watch and cheer in a very exciting spirit.

This year's dragon boat racing festival has 4 racing teams: Lac Tan 1, Lac Tan 2-3 (Phuoc Diem commune), Lac Son and Lac Nghiep (Ca Na commune). Each team has 18 strong and steady rowers, competing in 4 races, each 500m.

This is an activity that carries the long-standing traditional cultural beauty of coastal residents to pray for favorable weather, calm seas, national peace and prosperity, bountiful harvests, and increasingly prosperous and happy lives. At the same time, it contributes to propaganda, education , and raising awareness for people to preserve and promote the customs and unique cultural beauty of coastal fishermen; creating a useful playground, exchanging and sharing experiences, and strengthening the spirit of solidarity among local residents.

As a result, the Organizing Committee awarded first prize to Lac Tan 1 and Lac Son teams; second prize to Lac Tan 2-3 teams and third prize to Lac Nghiep team.
