Schedule of announcement of admission scores to police schools in 2024, candidates need to note

Police schools will announce their benchmark scores according to the general schedule of the Ministry of Education and Training , including schools expected to announce on August 18.

According to the plan of the Ministry of Education and Training, the virtual filtering for university admission will take place until 5:00 p.m. on August 17 and will be carried out 6 times. After the final virtual filtering session nationwide, schools will enter the admission scores and admission results into the system, review and prepare to announce the first round of admission results according to the general schedule.

After this time, schools can announce the benchmark scores and admission results to candidates. The Ministry of Education and Training requires schools to announce the benchmark scores no later than 5 p.m. on August 19. Each candidate can only be admitted to one highest choice.

For police schools, the schedule for announcing benchmark scores will follow the general schedule of the Ministry of Education and Training. When the final results after virtual filtering are available, the Department of Training (Ministry of Public Security) will unify the schools and announce benchmark scores.

A representative of the People's Security Academy said the school is expected to announce the benchmark scores on August 18.

Candidates admitted to police academies will enroll between September 23 and 27.

The Ministry of Public Security maintains three stable admission methods as follows:

Method 1 is direct admission, priority admission according to current admission regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, regulations of the Ministry of Public Security.

Method 2 is to consider candidates with international language certificates.

Method 3 is to combine the results of the high school graduation exam of the Ministry of Education and Training with the admission assessment test of the Ministry of Public Security.

The scoring formula is the total score of 3 subjects in the high school graduation exam of the Ministry of Education and Training in the admission group (40%) and the assessment test score of the Ministry of Public Security (60%).

The 2024 assessment exam of the Ministry of Public Security took place on July 7 with the participation of nearly 18,000 candidates. This is the third year the exam has been organized by the Ministry of Public Security to serve as a basis for admission to public security academies and schools.

Last year, the admission scores for police schools ranged from 14.01 to 24.94 points. Of which, the Party Building and State Administration major of the People's Public Security Academy had the highest admission score. Female candidates in the North applying for this major must achieve 24.94 points.

Following is the Police Department of the People's Police Academy with 24.78 points, applied to female candidates in the provinces of Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue. The English Language Department of the International Academy has the lowest score with 14.01 points, applied to male candidates.

Admission scores to police schools are calculated according to the Ministry of Public Security's own admission formula. Specifically: Admission score = Total score of three graduation exam subjects x 2/5 + Assessment test score x 3/5 + Priority points according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training + Bonus points for excellent students at the national level.

The total number of new recruits for people's police academies and schools in 2024 is about 2,150.
