Olympic competition schedule on July 28: Medal hopes lie with Trinh Thu Vinh

(Dan Tri) - Not many Vietnamese athletes competed on July 28, but we have a chance to win a medal today, when Trinh Thu Vinh competes in the women's 10m air pistol final.
After passing the qualifying round last night (July 27), Trinh Thu Vinh will compete in the final of the women's 10m air pistol, shooting, taking place at 5:00 p.m. this afternoon (July 28, Vietnam time). In this final round, Trinh Thu Vinh will compete with 7 other opponents including Kim Yeji (Korea), Ilada Tarhan (Turkey), Li Xue (China), Oh Ye Jin (Korea), Veronika Major (Hungary), Manu Bhaker (India) and Ranxin Jiang (China).

These are all very strong opponents, coming from the world's shooting powerhouses, such as China, Korea, Turkey, India... Trinh Thu Vinh will have the opportunity to compete for medals with the above opponents. She competed very well in the final half of the qualifying round yesterday. If she maintains the same form and mentality, Trinh Thu Vinh can soon help the Vietnamese sports delegation complete the medal target at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Pham Thi Hue will compete in the women's single sculls heavyweight playoff round in rowing.
Also today, Vietnam's shooting competition has another athlete participating, Le Thi Mong Tuyen. This girl will compete in the qualifying round of the women's 10m air rifle event. The qualifying round will start at 2:15 p.m. (Vietnam time). 15 minutes earlier, Pham Thi Hue will enter the qualifying round of the women's single sculls in the rowing event. This is the round to win a ticket for the athletes who failed yesterday. In this event yesterday, Pham Thi Hue only finished 4th in her competition, with a time of 8 minutes 03 seconds 84. Pham Thi Hue will compete in the first round of the qualifying round for the ticket (a total of 3 rounds), along with opponents including Evidelia Jarquin Gonzalez (Nicaragua), Cobas Garcia (Cuba), Joanie Delgado (Philippines) and Akoko Komlanvi (Tonga).
