Joint venture Hoa Phat, Dai Dung, CC1 proposes to be general contractor for metro projects in Ho Chi Minh City

The consortium of Dai Dung Group, Construction Corporation No. 1 (CC1) and Hoa Phat Group (abbreviated as DCH Consortium) has just sent a document to the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City proposing to participate as the EPC general contractor (design, construction, equipment supply) for urban railway projects in the city.

According to the document, the DCH Joint Venture expressed its desire to research and invest in three key railway lines including: metro line 2 (Ben Thanh - Tham Luong), Thu Thiem - Long Thanh railway line and Binh Duong - Suoi Tien new city line.

The DCH consortium emphasized that its members currently have a solid foundation in the fields of materials, steel structures, technical solutions and construction, especially underground projects and the role of EPC general contractor.

This has been demonstrated through large-scale projects that members of the consortium have participated in constructing, such as two underground stations (Ba Son station, City Theater station) and the depot of line 1 (Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien).

DCH Joint Venture believes that with its experience and available team, the joint venture can quickly mobilize the necessary resources to implement projects, ensuring quality, progress and efficiency, thereby contributing to the economic growth of Ho Chi Minh City.

In the context that the City is accelerating the progress of key infrastructure projects, the DCH Joint Venture proposes that the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee consider creating conditions for the joint venture to study and participate in railway projects in the City, especially railway projects that will start construction in 2025 in the spirit of Resolution 68/NQ-TW on private economic development.

According to the plan, Ho Chi Minh City will start construction of metro line 2 (Ben Thanh - Tham Luong) at the end of 2025.

To complete the Project in the shortest time, the City will select a construction contractor according to the EPC model. Therefore, this is an opportunity for large domestic enterprises to participate in the investment.
