Business in compliance with the law
Recently, bakeries and home-made bakery kitchens in the province have begun to display and promote their products on social networking sites. Not only simply introducing cakes and fillings like previous years, home-made bakeries have focused on promoting BTT boxes, carefully designing boxes, packaging and building meaningful brand stories.
Personal protective equipment is a key focus for food producers.
In addition, Decree No. 70/2025/ND-CP of the Government , issued on March 20, 2025, amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 123/2020/ND-CP on invoices and documents, officially took effect from June 1, 2025, contributing to promoting digital transformation in tax management, requiring transparency in production and business. This makes businesses in general, and home-made BTT businesses in particular, begin to change to integrate with the market.
Facilities have begun to standardize production and business processes in a transparent manner, complying with the provisions of the Law on Food Safety and Hygiene. From making cakes entirely by hand, some facilities have invested in converting to a semi-automatic production line model according to one-way rules; complying with food safety and hygiene regulations during the production process, etc.
Ms. Pham Thi Bich Huyen - owner of BTT Thien Di shop, Duong Minh Chau commune said that Decree No. 70/2025/ND-CP of the Government has come into effect, creating many changes for the entire industry, especially for online businesses or individual households. Therefore, people in the food industry must prepare themselves mentally for oriented development. "In my opinion, current businesses, in addition to expertise, must also equip themselves with certain legal knowledge" - Ms. Huyen added.
Similarly, Ms. Huynh Kim Nhu - owner of Kim Nhu bakery, Tan Ninh ward shared: "To standardize the production process, we invest in improving machinery, producing better quality products. In addition, the facility always focuses on the origin of input materials: there must be invoices, documents as well as clear product declaration,... The staff at our store are all trained in food safety before the Mid-Autumn Festival to ensure food safety throughout the production process.
Step by step branding
Faced with the increasingly fierce competition in the bakery market, establishments strive to create a unique mark for their products with meaningful stories attached to each box and cake; enhancing their products to expand and reach many customer segments.
Ms. Huynh Kim Nhu shared that this year's Mid-Autumn Festival, the shop is aiming for high-end cakes such as: scallop filling, bird's nest, etc. Regarding design, the shop invests in packaging and boxes with images of famous landscapes of the province such as Ba Den Mountain, Cao Dai Tay Ninh Holy See, Dau Tieng Lake, etc. In particular, the establishment aims to build healthy products to meet the needs of consumers such as low-sugar cakes, cakes for people with diabetes, vegetarian cakes, etc.
Customers choose to buy handmade moon cakes
Building a brand from love for the homeland and country, in this year's Mid-Autumn Festival, Thien Di Bakery brings two special and meaningful BTT gift sets called The Era of Rising - Radiant Vietnam and I Love Tay Ninh to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 as well as to welcome the new Tay Ninh province. The two gift sets quickly attracted the attention of customers, especially young people.
In these gift sets, Thien Di facility requested the workshops to engrave molds and exclusively design sacred symbols and images of the nation, including: Uncle Ho's saying: "Nothing is more precious than independence and freedom", images of Vietnam map, bronze drum, Uncle Ho's mausoleum, scenic spots of Tay Ninh,... thereby conveying meaningful messages, reminding today's young generation to be grateful for the sacrifices of previous generations, for independence and freedom for the nation. At the same time, Thien Di wishes to promote the beautiful image of the new Tay Ninh and connect the feelings of the two provinces of Long An - old Tay Ninh, to step into a new era together".
Homemade BTT products have been "upgraded" in quality and design, gradually meeting customers' tastes. Ms. Tran Thi Hanh (residing in Tan Ninh ward) shared: "BTT is more diverse, with more designs and stores. Every year is different, with many new flavors to meet customers' needs. Handmade cakes are fresh, with few preservatives, so they will be more delicious. The criteria for cake filling, food safety conditions, and brand reputation are guaranteed, so I feel more secure."
With positive changes from home-made bakery establishments, this year's cake market promises to be more diverse due to competition in product quality and meaning./.
