Rice exports increase

Regarding rice, according to the update from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, currently OM 380 raw rice fluctuates at 7,700 - 7,850 VND/kg; 5451 raw rice fluctuates at 8,550 - 8,650 VND/kg; IR 504 raw rice fluctuates at 8,100 - 8,200 VND/kg; OM 380 finished rice fluctuates at 8,800 - 9,000 VND/kg; IR 504 finished rice fluctuates at 9,500 - 9,700 VND/kg.

Regarding by-products, the prices of by-products fluctuate from 6,700 - 10,000 VND/kg. Currently, the price of fragrant broken rice fluctuates at 7,100 - 7,300 VND/kg; broken rice 2 increased by 100 VND/kg, fluctuating at 6,700 - 6,900 VND/kg; the price of bran fluctuates at 9,000 - 10,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Recorded in localities today, the quantity is quite good, the price of rice of all kinds is relatively stable. In An Giang , the quantity is quite good, new transactions are regular, the price of rice of all kinds is stable. In Sa Dec (Dong Thap), there is a lot of rice coming in, warehouses buy regularly, rice price is stable. In Lap Vo (Dong Thap), the quantity is regular, warehouses buy regularly, rice price is stable.

Sa Dec market canal (Dong Thap), the amount of rice arriving at the docks is large, fragrant rice is easy to buy and sell, large warehouses ask to buy more OM18 rice, prices fluctuate little. At An Cu (Cai Be, Tien Giang ), buying and selling transactions are steady, good rice is easy to sell, prices are stable.

At retail markets, the prices of all types of rice remained unchanged compared to yesterday. Currently, Nang Nhen rice has the highest listed price of VND28,000/kg; regular rice fluctuates at VND15,000-16,000/kg; long-grain fragrant rice fluctuates at VND20,000-22,000/kg; Huong Lai rice 22,000/kg; Jasmine fragrant rice fluctuates at VND18,000-20,000/kg; Nang Hoa rice 22,000/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice 21,000/kg; common white rice 17,000/kg; Soc regular rice fluctuates at VND18,000/kg; Soc Thai rice 21,000/kg; Japanese rice 22,000/kg.

Similar to rice, according to the update from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, the current price of OM 5451 rice (fresh) increased by 200 VND/kg, fluctuating between 5,800 - 6,000 VND/kg; the price of Dai Thom 8 rice (fresh) increased by 100 VND/kg, fluctuating between 6,500 - 6,600 VND/kg; the price of OM 18 rice (fresh) fluctuated between 6,500 - 6,600 VND/kg; the price of OM 380 rice (fresh) fluctuated between 5,200 - 5,400 VND/kg; the price of IR 50404 rice (fresh) fluctuated between 5,500 - 5,600 VND/kg; and Nang Hoa 9 rice fluctuated between 6,300 - 6,500 VND/kg.

In many localities today, the supply is quite good, new transactions are steady. In Hau Giang, rice is being harvested slowly, prices tend to increase, many areas have been deposited by traders. In Can Tho, the source is almost exhausted, the winter-spring crop is basically finished, prices are stable. In Soc Trang, demand is slow, rice prices are stable.

In An Giang, the demand for regular rice continues to be steady, and the price of rice has fluctuated little. In Kien Giang, the regular rice crop has passed its peak, and the remaining quantity is small, making it difficult for traders to buy new rice. In Dong Thap, most traders ask to buy fragrant rice, and the price of rice is stable.

In the export market, Vietnam's rice export prices today continued to increase slightly compared to yesterday. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), currently 5% standard rice is at 394 USD/ton (up 2 USD/ton); 25% broken rice is at 368 USD/ton (up 1 USD/ton); 100% broken rice is at 313 USD/ton (up 3 USD/ton).
