With the increase in train operations and improvement in service quality, the number of train passengers during the recent National Day holiday on September 2nd has had good growth.

Specifically, Hanoi Railway Transport Joint Stock Company has organized 145 southern trains, Hai Phong and Lao Cai trains, many of which have high seat utilization rates compared to the same period in 2023.

During the 4-day National Day holiday, the unit achieved an output of more than 100,000 train passengers, an increase of 12% over the same period in 2023; revenue reached more than 27 billion VND, an increase of 25%.

Of which, the number of passengers on the Thong Nhat train was more than 30,000, an increase of 29%; the train segment to the localities carried more than 69,000 passengers, an increase of 6%. The train segment to the Central provinces had high output such as the train Hanoi - Quang Binh with a growth of 123% in passengers, 121% in revenue; the train Hanoi - Lao Cai with a growth of 24% in passengers, 22% in revenue...

In particular, the number of passengers boarding trains from Saigon, Di An, Bien Hoa stations to tourist destinations is very large, such as the train to Phan Thiet has up to 2,400 passengers, the return trip has 2,800 passengers; the train to Nha Trang has about 4,200 passengers, the return trip has about 4,400 passengers; the train to Da Nang has about 500 passengers, the return trip has 500 passengers./.
