Speaking to the Thai media yesterday (December 4), billionaire female leader of the Thai national team Nualphan Lamsam (commonly known as Madam Pang) said: "Currently, more than 60 domestic football clubs support me to run for the position of FAT President. My supporters include the President of the Thai Professional Footballers' Association, Sinthaweechai Hatairattanakul."
"My motto is to work together to make Thai football better. I will resign as Chairman of Port Authority FC on December 25, after the match with Ratchaburi FC, to increase neutrality for the election," Madam Pang added.

This is the first time Madam Pang has publicly spoken to the media in the Land of the Golden Pagoda, about this female billionaire running for the position of President of FAT. Previously, Madam Pang did not deny the information that she would run for this position, but she has not officially spoken.
Previously, the current President of FAT, Somyot Poompunmuang, announced that he would no longer continue his work, from the end of February 2024. This is the time when Mr. Somyot and the current Executive Committee (EC) of FAT will end their term.
For the head of Thai football, the most important thing is to help the Golden Temple country's football team become stronger, break away from Southeast Asia, and join the Asian level.
In this regard, Madam Pang shared: "The head coach of the Thai team is Mr. Masatada Ishii (Japanese). Coach Ishii will be advised by expert Piyapong Pue-on. And Mr. Chanwit Phonchiwin (former coach of the Thai team during the time of Kiatisuk, Dusit, Tawan...) will be the one to build in-depth plans (possibly the role of Technical Director)".

"I run for FAT President to help improve Thai football, giving the national team a chance to attend the World Cup. At the same time, I want to improve FAT's financial situation, help clubs develop from the foundation, and earn more money from television copyrights," Madam Pang promised.
Thai football circles generally agree that, compared to current President Somyot Poompunmuang, Madam Pang's relationship with professionals in the Land of the Golden Pagoda is better.
The proof is that during the period when no coach wanted to sit in the Thai national team's coach position before the AFF Cup, Madam Pang still convinced coach Mano Polking to sit in this position.
After that, Mr. Polking helped the Thai team win the AFF Cup twice in 2020 and 2022, regaining the number one position in Southeast Asia from the Vietnamese team.
Having good relationships with domestic football experts and managers is a significant advantage that can help Madam Pang prevail in the FAT President election on February 8, 2024.
