This poetry section introduces two poems like summer rain and sunshine that remain in the memories of Ngo Dinh Hai and Dao Tan Truc.
Summer Rain
A thread of rain visited me one day
not on the shoulder
rain of bold words
make the memory tilt to one side
raindrops falling on feet
hate not even greet clogs
quiet afternoon rain
where is a greeting
raindrops patting on the back
yesterday missed a drop of sunshine
hide in a cup of black coffee
someone accidentally drank it
rain thread tell me
The royal poinciana tree has left its old place.
wet-winged cicada running around
looking for shelter but can't find it
thin rain thread, thick rain thread
Where are the rain threads from that day and today?
NGO DINH HAI
The return trip
I come back with my feet on the brown soil
The sky brought clouds down to darken the fields
eyes of the countryside face down in the heart
Hearing the sound of straw also makes my feet hurt...
years of touching a joy
visit hometown, wander around every old alley
old river gently ripples
pity the lapwing calling its flock in the midday sun
these innocent little feet
muddy days of yesteryear
coconut water one sip soft lips
sweet every piece of land contains the words of homeland
thank you old days long distance
feet walked forever on the brown dirt road.
