Hanoi has 12 flower seasons, each flower season has its own special beauty. And every March and April, when the weather changes from spring to summer, we see "The cotton tree flickering in bloom. Deep in the banyan tree, the village communal house..." the brilliant red color of cotton flowers seems to burn with a strong personal thirst.

The kapok tree is also known simply as moc mien, hong mien, and in the Central Highlands it is called po lang. In Vietnam, the kapok tree appears in many villages in the North, sometimes towering at the village entrance, sometimes alone in the middle of the fields, or along the dike roads...

In particular, the Hoan Kiem Lake area also attracts a large number of people to admire and capture beautiful images of the "cotton flower season".

The time when the royal poinciana flowers bloom most brilliantly lasts 2-3 weeks, usually until the end of March and the beginning of April.

The red cotton tree flower is not proud or splendid, but has been associated with many generations of Vietnamese people. The red color of the flower has entered poetry, becoming familiar and close.

The cotton tree has the rustic, simple beauty of the countryside. In the inner city of Hanoi, cotton trees are not as commonly grown as in the countryside. However, the cotton tree season in Hanoi is still a special gift for the people of the capital.
