This is the major with the highest minimum score up to now among the announced minimum scores. In addition, the second highest major of Saigon University is English Pedagogy with 23 points. The remaining majors have a score of 16 to 21 points.
Many schools accept applications with scores of 24 points or higher for some majors, a slight increase compared to last year, such as Foreign Trade University, University of Natural Sciences - Ho Chi Minh City National University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, Ho Chi Minh City University of Education, Hanoi Medical University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Military Science Academy, etc.
Currently, the lowest floor score is 14 points at Danang University of Architecture and Western University of Construction (Vinh Long). Accordingly, candidates with an average score of less than 5 points per subject can also apply for admission.
Candidates should note that the minimum score is the minimum requirement for candidates to register for admission, not the standard score. The standard score can be equal to or higher than the minimum score.
Based on the 2024 high school graduation exam score distribution, experts predict that the admission scores for groups C00, D01, and D96 will increase this year. Meanwhile, the admission scores for group B00 may stagnate or decrease slightly compared to last year. The admission scores for groups A00 and A01 may increase, but not much.
Up to this point, representatives of some universities have made predictions about this year's benchmark scores using high school graduation exam results.
For example, Hanoi University of Science and Technology expects the three majors with the highest admission scores to be Computer Science , Computer Engineering, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence with scores above 28. Majors with admission scores of 27-28 are Control Engineering - Automation, Cyberspace Security, Information Technology (Vietnam - Japan, Global ICT, Vietnam - France). Some majors only require 20-22.75 points such as Textile Technology, Environmental Engineering, Natural Resources and Environment Management, Materials Science and Engineering (advanced program). The predicted scores for these majors are about 0.75 points higher than last year. 20 points is also the threshold for this University to accept applications for admission based on graduation exam scores.
Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Phong Dien - Deputy Director of Hanoi University of Science and Technology said that compared to 2023, the predicted admission scores for the school's training programs are 0.5 - 1 point higher. Hanoi University of Science and Technology predicts the admission score based on the admission rate and registration level of candidates, the admission score in 2023; secondly, based on the assessment of the thinking assessment test results, this year the number of candidates taking the test is higher than last year and based on the survey of the occupational fields in 2024, meeting the needs of socio-economic development, especially those related to semiconductor microchips.
In the South, Mr. Pham Thai Son - Director of the Admissions and Communications Center of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade said: The expected standard score of the school based on the 2024 high school graduation exam scores is from 16 - 23 points. "Hot" majors such as Marketing, International Business, Logistics and Supply Chain have a standard score of about 22 - 23 points. Majors such as Accounting, Banking and Finance, Business Administration, Food Technology... will have an expected standard score of 21 - 22, and some other majors from 16 - 18 points.
Some experts also commented that the benchmark score for top universities and top majors of universities can reach over 25 points. For middle-ranked universities, the benchmark score will range from 20 to 24 points, the remaining schools will have a benchmark score of 15 to 20 points.
