The MV “Kiem sau van nguoi Viet Nam” was released on the evening of August 7. The song features a collaboration of four singers: Quoc Thien, Duong Hoang Yen, Quan AP, Lam Bao Ngoc, with the special contribution of People's Artist Thu Huyen.
This song was composed by musician Tuan Cry. The MV was directed by Tran Thanh Trung, combining traditional creativity and AI technology to create the visuals.
Director Tran Thanh Trung said this is a music video part of the national community art project VIET NAM LOVE.
The MV is becoming a controversial music product regarding the application of AI technology in image editing.
Many opinions say that AI reconstructs some historical details inaccurately.
Viewers commented that the image of De Castries' bunker in Dien Bien Phu was not realistic; the national flag appearing on the roof had an error of having a yellow star flag on a blue background instead of a red one; the positions marking Hoang Sa and Truong Sa had very blurry text at 0:09 of the MV, giving the impression that the text was displayed incorrectly.
In addition, some viewers also commented that the Dong Son bronze drum motif - which has a thousand-year cultural value - was also "deformed" by AI in its delicate details carved by humans.
Some scenes even startled the audience because of historical context errors.
The scene of Tran Quoc Toan crushing an orange, which was created by AI at 1:04 of the MV, does not match history.
According to Dai Viet Su Ky Toan Thu, at the Binh Than Conference - where King Tran Nhan Tong convened a military conference in October 1282 to discuss plans to defeat the Yuan-Mongol army, Tran Quoc Toan was too young to attend, so he crushed the orange he was holding in his hand.
In historical data, the Binh Than Conference took place in the plains. However, the image in the MV was created by AI to show mountains and hills.
The resistance war march scene recreated by AI took place during the day on an empty hill, contrary to historical documents where soldiers often marched at night under the dense canopy of the Truong Son forest to avoid enemy planes.
People's Artist Thu Huyen, although contributing her voice in the MV, did not appear directly, but her image was created by AI instead.
Some viewers expressed disagreement with this approach, saying that the crew could have used more valuable and authentic documents about military-civilian relations in history instead of relying too much on AI.
