Improve the quality and effectiveness of mass mobilization, ethnic, religious and grassroots democracy work

Comrade Lo Van Mung, member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee spoke at the workshop.

Speaking at the workshop, Comrade Lo Van Phuong, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council affirmed that, through practice in recent years, mass mobilization work in the province has had many practical innovations; leadership methods are closely linked to the work of building the Party and the State. Through mass mobilization work, many cases and incidents such as: Land disputes, site clearance, security and order at the grassroots level... have been basically resolved satisfactorily, to the satisfaction of the people. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Council said that the construction and implementation of democratic regulations, ethnic and religious affairs in the province in recent times have received due attention from all levels and sectors, positively impacting the work of building the Party and the political system at the grassroots level... thereby contributing to maintaining political security, social order and safety, hunger eradication and poverty reduction, and economic development in the locality.

To further improve mass mobilization work in the coming time, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Council requested that all levels, sectors, agencies, organizations as well as each cadre and party member need to uphold their roles and responsibilities; innovate the content and methods of operation; at the same time, regularly summarize and draw lessons, and replicate advanced models.

The workshop received 19 presentations from agencies, units, and localities; of which, 9 presentations at the workshop highlighted issues related to mass mobilization, ethnic and religious work; at the same time, clarified the roles, functions, tasks, and the need to improve the quality and effectiveness of mass mobilization, ethnic and religious work, and democracy at the grassroots level. Delegates also pointed out limitations and difficulties in the implementation process; shared experiences, good and effective practices in implementing mass mobilization, ethnic and religious work, and democracy at the grassroots level in the province.
