Improving information technology application skills for cooperative members in ethnic minority and mountainous areas

On the morning of October 22, 50 delegates representing typical cooperatives and cooperative groups in mountainous areas and ethnic minorities participated in the training course "Improving skills in applying information technology for digital transformation, improving management capacity and e-commerce operations for cadres and members of cooperatives in ethnic minority and mountainous areas".

The delegates and trainees attended the training class.

This is a human resource training program under Sub-project 2, Project 10, National target program on socio -economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas organized by Thanh Hoa Provincial Cooperative Union.

Speaking at the opening of the training course, Master Nguyen Dinh Tuan, Chairman of the Provincial Cooperative Union, emphasized: The mountainous and ethnic minority areas of the province have established and developed hundreds of cooperatives and cooperative groups operating in most socio-economic fields. However, the operational efficiency of many cooperatives is not high, the reason is that the management team of cooperatives has not been propagated and disseminated the policies and laws stipulated in the Law on Cooperatives; and has not had access to new skills and knowledge to approach the market economy. Therefore, the requirement to improve the application of information technology for digital transformation, improve the management capacity and e-commerce operation for cadres and members of cooperatives in ethnic minority and mountainous areas is very necessary.

Master Nguyen Dinh Tuan, Chairman of the Provincial Cooperative Union, introduced the basic contents of the 2023 Law on Cooperatives.

At the training course, delegates were guided and introduced by the reporter on the basic contents of the 2023 Law on Cooperatives and documents guiding the implementation of the Law; skills in applying e-commerce, marketing, advertising, trade promotion for products and goods and solutions for management, improving productivity, quality, developing agricultural production associated with effective value chains...

Overview of the training class.

During the 2 days (October 22 and 23), delegates not only acquired knowledge but also exchanged, discussed and answered questions in applying digital technology to production and business activities. From there, they gained more experience, knowledge and skills to promote production linkages, trade promotion, product promotion and consumption as well as improve the quality and economic value of products.
