Capacity building for female cadres in Southeast Lam Dong

On the morning of September 10, the Standing Committee of the Lam Dong Provincial Women's Union (LWU) coordinated with the Central Women's Affairs Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union to organize 3 training courses to foster knowledge, improve capacity in entrusting activities of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies (VBSP), develop OCOP products and support women to reduce poverty by 2025 in the Southeast region of the province.

Ms. Phan Thi Vi Van, Vice President of Lam Dong Provincial Women's Union, delivered the opening speech at the training course.

In the program, 50 trainees who are heads of commune women's associations and heads of Savings and Loan Groups (TK&VV) in areas with low credit quality or large outstanding debts are equipped with knowledge and skills in group management.

At the training session, the reporter focused on the following topics: Preferential credit policies of the Government ; roles and responsibilities of the Women's Union in entrustment work; loan review process, file management, group operation management; propaganda skills, mobilizing members to participate in Savings and Credit Groups and deposit savings; knowledge of comprehensive finance and personal financial management skills...

For the OCOP program, the training course was attended by 50 trainees who are members and leaders of cooperatives and cooperative groups managed by women, along with business households that are OCOP subjects.

The reporters shared knowledge on: Registration, development of OCOP products, brand building, market connection; equipping knowledge on raw material processing, safe production with traceability, promotion and trade promotion; skills in processing, preserving agricultural products, producing handicrafts; application of science and technology and digital transformation in management and operations...

In parallel, there was a training course for 50 Association officials, members of the Standing Committee and branch heads on sustainable poverty reduction. Trainees were introduced to: Policies of the Party, State and locality on poverty reduction support; guidance on building sustainable livelihood models, value chain production, group/household/cooperative organization and linking businesses to consume products.
