The southern region of Luong Son district, Hoa Binh province (old), including Cao Duong commune, is considered the cradle of traditional medicine. The rugged, barren limestone foothills are an ideal environment for many precious herbs to grow and develop, especially the black xạ tree and the climbing eggplant. In the past, they were grasses on the edge of the forest, along the mountain slopes. They are a type of tea that the Muong people drink every day. Fresh leaves are used to make Muong girls' skin white and smooth; and Muong boys' physique is strong and muscular. The fruit is used to make a thick syrup and drink it to make tired people healthy, to make sluggish people alert, to eat better, to sleep more deeply.

Struggling to find a stable output for black xạ and ca gai leo, wishing to revive the value of black xạ and ca gai leo by completely retaining the medicinal properties of fresh black xạ and ca gai leo without drying, in 2021, Tuyet Nhi Cooperative was established in Dong Bon village, Cao Duong commune, specializing in the production of medicinal herbs from black xạ and ca gai leo. The Cooperative focuses on fresh input materials, absolutely does not use preservatives, so the medicinal properties are high, keeping the characteristic aroma standard, so it is well received by the market.

Black sesame extract and Solanum procumbens extract products of Tuyet Nhi Cooperative achieved 4-star OCOP

Black tea extract contains active ingredients such as flavonoids, polyphenols, tannins, and saponins, which can inhibit the growth of cancer cells, prevent metastasis, and support the treatment of tumors and cancers. Solanum procumbens extract is extracted from the Solanum procumbens plant, which helps detoxify the liver, lower liver enzymes, support the treatment of liver diseases such as hepatitis, cirrhosis, and protect liver cells.

As a businessman who often has to entertain guests, Mr. Nguyen Van Duc, in Cau Giay Ward, Hanoi, has signs of high liver enzymes and fatigue. Processed from black xạ and cà gai leo plants harvested and grown naturally according to standards in Cao Duong commune and neighboring areas. Currently, the Cooperative is purchasing fresh black xạ and cà gai leo plants for people at a price of 8-10,000 VND/kg.

The raw materials are carefully screened before being extracted, so the product has a particularly good and clean quality. On average, 100 kg of fresh leaves after 24 hours of cooking will yield 2.7 kg of concentrated extract. Each month, the cooperative consumes 15-20 tons of raw materials. To meet the increasing demand of consumers, the cooperative has focused on innovating packaging, designing small, convenient bottles suitable for users.
