On November 27, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov issued a stern warning about Ukraine's use of US long-range ATACMS missiles to attack deep into Russian territory.

"Patience is necessary, but if it is constantly tested, it will end," Mr. Lavrov said in an interview with Russian journalist Pavel Zarubin, according to Russia's Pravda newspaper.
The statement came after President Vladimir Putin revealed last week that Ukraine used US ATACMS missiles and British Storm Shadow missiles to attack Russia's Kursk and Bryansk regions on November 19.
In response, on November 21, Russia successfully tested a new medium-range hypersonic ballistic missile called Oreshnik, targeting a defense industrial complex in the city of Dnepropetrovsk (Dnipro) in Ukraine.
On the same day, Russian sources said that the country had officially closed its airspace to flights over the Kapustin Yar test site, which specializes in testing missiles and is also the starting point of the Oreshnik ballistic missile that attacked the Yuzhmash enterprise in Dnipro, Ukraine.
According to sources, the airspace closure will last until November 30. Some experts believe that this move may be related to the possibility that Russia is preparing for a new attack on Ukraine, possibly again with Oreshnik missiles or testing a new type of weapon.
Also on November 27, in a conversation with RIA Novosti newspaper, the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister said that the US has not yet realized the consequences of participating in the conflict in Ukraine, but Moscow guarantees to make Washington "tremble and be surprised".
He noted that, at present, the administration of outgoing US President Joe Biden is "very easily" discussing the details of attacks on Russia with Washington's weapons and this action confirms that it is already a party to the conflict.
On the US side, National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said that Washington's decision to allow Ukraine to attack Russia with weapons would easily increase the risk of nuclear war.
