Banks must promptly transfer 100,000 VND gifts to people on the occasion of National Day September 2nd.

In order to promptly give gifts to people on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day September 2 as directed by the Prime Minister, the State Bank requested banks to ensure a smooth and safe payment system.

On the afternoon of August 29, the State Bank sent a dispatch to commercial banks and foreign bank branches on meeting payment needs for gift giving to people on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

In the dispatch, the State Bank said this is to implement the Prime Minister 's telegram No. 149 on giving gifts to people on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

Accordingly, the State Bank requested banks and foreign bank branches to ensure the payment system operates safely and smoothly 24/7, meeting the need to pay gifts to people in a timely manner during the National Day holiday on September 2.

State-owned commercial banks and banks, foreign bank branches where commune-level People's Committees open accounts proactively coordinate closely with local authorities, the State Treasury and relevant agencies in transferring gifts to people, in accordance with the operating time of the national interbank electronic payment system during the National Day holiday on September 2.

Previously, on August 28, the Prime Minister issued telegram No. 149 on giving gifts to people on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2. The gift amount is 100,000 VND/person.

The Prime Minister directed the Ministry of Finance, the State Bank, the Ministry of Public Security and the People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities to closely coordinate and immediately review the recipients of gifts and deliver the gifts to people by appropriate means ( bank transfer or directly ) as soon as possible, to be completed before National Day, September 2.

Speaking with Tuoi Tre Online , a representative of the Ministry of Finance said that the budget allocated to give gifts to people celebrating Independence Day this time comes from the central budget, with about 11,000 billion VND.
