The bank paying the highest interest rate has adjusted down.

According to GPBank's newly announced online deposit interest rate schedule, terms from 1 month to under 6 months remain at 5%/year. Deposit interest rates for terms from 6 months and above have all decreased by 0.2 percentage points.

Currently, the interest rate for 6-month term deposits at GPBank is 8.1%/year, 7-8 month term deposits is 8.15%/year, 9 month term deposits is 8.2%/year, 12 month term deposits is 8.3%/year. The interest rate for terms of 13 months or more is set at 8.4%/year by this bank, which is also the highest interest rate among the terms announced by GPBank.

Previously, in the past month, GPBank has always paid the highest interest rates. The interest rates for 6-month, 9-month and 12-month terms are 8.3 - 8.4 and 8.5%/year, respectively.

This morning, VietA Bank also reduced deposit interest rates for all terms of 1 month or more by 0.2 percentage points. This is the second time since the beginning of June that VietA Bank has reduced deposit interest rates.

The new online mobilization interest rate table includes: Interest rate for 1-5 month term 4.8%/year, 6-11 month term 7.6%/year, 12-18 month term 7.8%/year, 24-36 month term 7.6%/year.

However, VietA Bank said it can still apply a different interest rate than the listed one to some customers and not exceed the maximum interest rate prescribed by the State Bank for each period.

Besides GPBank and VietA Bank, the market did not record any other banks reducing deposit interest rates on June 13.

Yesterday, June 12, a series of banks reduced deposit interest rates including: VIB, BIDV , Sacombank, and HDBank.

Since the beginning of June, the market has recorded 16 banks reducing deposit interest rates, including: GPBank, BIDV, Sacombank, VIB, HDBank, NCB, OCB, BVBank, VPBank, SCB, VietA Bank, TPBank,SHB , HDBank, KienLongBank, and Saigonbank.

Of which, VietA Bank, HDBank , and SCB are the banks that have reduced interest rates twice since the beginning of the month.
