Health sector deploys tasks for 2025

In 2024, the provincial health sector focused on synchronously implementing solutions and completing assigned goals and tasks. Preventive health work was performed well, controlling infectious diseases. The quality of medical examination and treatment at medical facilities was increasingly improved. The replacement fertility rate of 2.16 children/woman was maintained; malnutrition among children under 5 years old decreased to 12%; 10.8 doctors/10,000 people were reached; 96.5% of health stations had doctors working; 98.4% of communes and wards met national health criteria...

In 2025, the health sector will continue to focus on solutions to complete the task of protecting, caring for, and improving people's health, and population work in the new situation. The key task is to advise the Provincial People's Committee to submit to the Provincial People's Council a number of important resolutions to create conditions for development and strengthen the capacity of the health system, especially grassroots health care and preventive medicine. Implement improvements in the quality of hospitals and preventive medicine according to the criteria of the Ministry of Health . Promote the Satellite Hospital Project, the Remote Medical Examination and Treatment Project, Project 1816, digital transformation, improve service quality, and meet the increasing demand for medical examination and treatment of the people. Strive to have 100% of communes and wards meet national health criteria; achieve 32 hospital beds/10,000 people; have 11 doctors/10,000 people; 100% of commune health stations have doctors working; reduce the rate of malnutrition in children under 5 years old to 11.5%; maintain replacement fertility of 2-2.2 children/woman.

On this occasion, the Department of Health awarded certificates of merit to 39 collectives and 188 individuals with outstanding achievements in performing tasks and expertise in 2024.
