Festival "Military Youth with Traffic Culture" in 2024

On the morning of August 4, at April 16 Square (Phan Rang-Thap Cham City), the Army Youth Union coordinated with the Political Department of Military Region 5, Air Defense-Air Force, Special Forces, Engineering Corps and units of Ninh Thuan province: Provincial Military Command, Provincial Police, Provincial Youth Union to organize the Festival "Army Youth with Traffic Culture" in 2024.

Attending the festival were comrades: Le Huyen, Vice Chairman of Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Committee; Colonel Tran Viet Nang, Head of the Army Youth Union; leaders of agencies and units under the General Department of Politics and nearly 1,000 officers, soldiers, union members and youth (YVTN) inside and outside the Army.

The festival, directed by the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, aims to concretize the implementation of campaigns of the Party, State, Army and Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union on building a civilized lifestyle when participating in traffic; promote propaganda work, raise awareness, create strong changes in consciousness and responsibility in complying with laws, discipline and regulations on ensuring traffic safety (ATGT), especially the consciousness and civilized behavior in participating in traffic of officers, soldiers and young union members; practically and directly strengthen traffic safety inside and outside the Army, contributing to building strong and comprehensive agencies and units.

The Military Region 5 Art Troupe performed art performances to celebrate the "Military Youth with Traffic Culture" Festival 2024.

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, Colonel Tran Viet Nang, Head of the Military Youth Committee, launched the "Youth with Traffic Culture" Festival and the "Youth with Traffic Culture" Contest. Accordingly, leaders and commanders of agencies and units are required to continue to thoroughly grasp and seriously implement Directive No. 23-CT/TW of the Party Central Committee Secretariat on strengthening the Party's leadership in ensuring traffic order and safety in the new situation; direct the organization to well implement the 50 Campaign and the plans of the Ministry of National Defense; proactively do a good job of propaganda and education to raise awareness of the meaning and importance of building traffic culture, gradually building a cultured lifestyle, forming a sense of self-consciousness in obeying the law when participating in traffic, eliminating habits of arbitrarily violating traffic rules; creating an orderly, safe, civilized and friendly traffic environment.

Colonel Tran Viet Nang, Head of the Army Youth Union, delivered a speech launching the "Army Youth with Traffic Culture" Festival 2024.

Requesting Youth Union organizations at all levels in the Army to continue to thoroughly grasp and concretize the key contents of the Traffic Safety Year 2024 with the theme "Respecting the law to build a safe traffic culture" and the criteria of the campaign "Youth with traffic culture" into action plans and programs, with specific contents, targets, rich and diverse forms and measures to raise awareness of the whole society about traffic culture. For the contingent of cadres, soldiers, and young union members, they must voluntarily study and strictly comply with state laws and regulations on traffic safety; always maintain military etiquette and manners, behave civilly in all traffic situations; promote the responsibility to set an example, mobilize everyone to participate in traffic in a civilized manner and must identify it as one of the ethical standards of young people in the Ho Chi Minh era; At the same time, each cadre, soldier, and youth union member is a propagandist with the responsibility to actively promote traffic culture.

Officers and soldiers of the Air Defense - Air Force participated in a traffic culture propaganda march in response to the "Military Youth with Traffic Culture" Festival 2024.

At the festival, officers, soldiers, and youth union members from agencies and units inside and outside the Army marched to propagate traffic culture on a route of more than 10km in Phan Rang-Thap Cham City. The Ninh Thuan Provincial Military Command and accompanying units organized to equip skills and guide safe driving practices for officers, soldiers, and youth union members participating in the festival.
