Attending the opening ceremony were Dr. Hoang Quoc Kieu - Deputy Director of the Provincial Center for Disease Control, lecturers from Nghe An CDC, Nghe An General Hospital and nearly 40 students who are doctors, officers in charge of nutrition and reproductive health of 12 Medical Centers: Ky Son, Tuong Duong, Quy Hop, Quy Chau, Nghia Dan, Thai Hoa, Quynh Luu, Thanh Chuong, Con Cuong, Tan Ky, Anh Son, Que Phong. The training course is an important opportunity to improve the professional capacity of district-level medical staff, contributing to the effective implementation of child health care in ethnic minority and mountainous areas of Nghe An province.
In his opening speech, Dr. Hoang Quoc Kieu - Deputy Director of Nghe An Provincial Center for Disease Control emphasized: The period from birth to 2 years old is the "golden window" that determines the physical, intellectual and long-term health development. Organizing periodic health check-ups for children under 24 months old is important, helping to detect risk factors early and intervene promptly so that children can develop comprehensively both physically and mentally. The training course is extremely practical and important, aiming at the goal of training medical staff at all levels - those who will continue to train the grassroots level on periodic health check-ups for children under 24 months old to carry out the examination work at the commune and ward levels. He hopes that the trainees will promote a sense of responsibility, participate in the class fully and seriously, and actively exchange with lecturers and colleagues to acquire the maximum necessary knowledge and skills.

During the 3 days from September 24 to 26, 2025, trainees will be provided with professional knowledge, communication skills, and methods for organizing periodic health check-ups for children under 24 months old at the facility, while discussing and sharing practical experiences in child health care.
