In his opening speech, Mr. Nguyen Van Nam - Deputy Director of the Department of Health emphasized that in the context of strong digital transformation, the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in the population field is an inevitable trend, contributing to modernizing management, data analysis and forecasting population fluctuations by age, gender and region.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Nam, AI not only helps build intervention models suitable for each locality, detect and warn early about gender imbalance at birth, but also supports the automation of reporting, statistics, and monitoring of population indicators. In particular, this technology also contributes to personalizing communication activities, reproductive health care counseling and family planning, improving the quality and effectiveness of population work.

At the training course, the trainees were introduced by Dr. Mai Thi Lan Anh - Director of AGI Academy to the following topics: Overview and trends of AI application in population work; practice using AI to support report writing, document drafting, data analysis; AI application in planning, record management and forecasting population change trends; skills in designing communication content using AI.
