Nghe An: Highlights on February 26

* On the morning of February 26, along with provinces and cities across the country, localities in Nghe An province organized the 2024 military enlistment ceremony to ensure safety and economy. Provincial leaders attended and encouraged citizens to join the army. Among the citizens enlisted this time, there were 19 party members and 887 citizens who volunteered to join the army; 1,424 young people attended the Party training class; 192 young people had university, college and intermediate degrees; 810 were ethnic minorities; 205 were religious young people.

* On the afternoon of February 26, the People's Committee of Nghe An province held a conference to review the work of preventing and controlling the Covid-19 epidemic in the period of 2020-2023 in the province. The conference aimed to draw lessons from experience in leadership, direction, and organization of epidemic prevention and control measures; thereby better performing the task of responding to new, urgent, and complicated issues in public health; and unpredictable social issues that may arise.

* On the morning of February 26, the Department of Industry and Trade of Nghe An province coordinated with the Vietnam Trade Office in Houston to organize an online conference to learn about the US market and trade connection opportunities in 2024.
