NDO - According to Decision No. 2320/QD-BVHTTDL, the art of sewing and wearing Hue Ao Dai has been included in the List of National Intangible Cultural Heritage.

According to the Decision signed by Minister Nguyen Van Hung, the art of tailoring and wearing Hue Ao Dai (Hue city, Thua Thien Hue province) was included in the List of National Intangible Cultural Heritage, Folk Knowledge category.

Hue city is not only a heritage site with many famous tourist attractions, historical and cultural relics, but also known and loved for its Ao Dai, created by many skilled artisans. Hue Ao Dai is not simply a garment but also a work of art, containing the value of Hue cultural identity.

Ao dai also attracts and becomes a movement for many young people, creating trends towards traditional values, folk cultural values...

In Hue, for many years now, the movement to preserve and restore traditional ao dai has been promoted. Many movements to encourage wearing ao dai in the community and in offices have been launched. In 2023, the project "Hue - Capital of Ao Dai" was officially approved by the Provincial People's Committee in Decision No. 678/QD-UBND. One of the important goals of this project is to preserve and promote the value of knowledge about making and wearing Hue ao dai. This is a premise for effectively implementing activities to promote and honor Hue ao dai, promote economic and tourism development, affirm Hue ao dai in the international community, towards developing the brand Hue - Capital of Ao Dai.

In tourism, fast, on-the-spot tailoring of Ao Dai in Hue is one of the services that is very popular with domestic and foreign tourists.
