A scene from the musical "The Strange Dreamers" by artist Quoc Thao
They are called "strange" because some have 12 fingers on both hands, some have a strange white disease called albinism that makes everyone who meets them for the first time scared, or some are dwarfs due to short limbs, some have faces full of scars... but to the "Huong Dong" troupe of producer Lam Hoang, they are a family.
Lam Hoang took them in and brought them to the troupe. At first, someone did the cleaning work, but then seeing their passion for sword dancing, he let them practice and go on stage.
They are people with disabilities but their souls are always upright - the beautiful message of the musical "The Dreamers" - author and director Quoc Thao
Knowing that they were disabled, with extraordinary determination, they created miracles. And Lam Hoang gave them a future that seemed bleak but was guided by strong faith.
Until one day, they moved to a land of a rich woman. Her son supported them, but she chased them away, even though she knew her son had fallen in love with a mixed-race actor, a member of that abnormal family.
All conflicts and climaxes of the play stem from the key point of "social status and social status". She is then assisted by a butler who hates theater troupes because in the past he drove his son who loved the theater out of the family.
