Major contractors compete in a 90-day and night peak to accelerate the progress of the Chi Thanh expressway

Engineers and workers of the Central Construction Group are entering a 90-day and night peak competition period with the goal of further accelerating the productivity of construction sites, contributing to bringing the project to the finish line early in September 2025.

Talking to Giao Thong Newspaper, Mr. Le Thanh Hai, General Director of the Central Construction Group, said that in order to further accelerate the construction progress of package XL02 of the North-South expressway project, the Chi Thanh - Van Phong section, the contractor recently launched a 90-day peak competition to speed up the construction progress of the Km34+240 - Km44+120 section.

Construction teams signed a 90-day and night peak competition on the section Km34+240 - Km44+120 of the XL02 package of the Chi Thanh - Van Phong expressway on February 13.

According to Mr. Hai, with the motto of emulation must be substantial, promoting the responsibility of each leader, commander, and individual. Each officer and worker on the construction site is a soldier, the whole construction site is a campaign - Committed to must be carried out, promised to do to excellently complete the task, the value of emulation output in this peak period is 225 billion/the remaining value is more than 527 billion VND, distributed to 4 construction teams.

Of which, the emulation output of construction team No. 1 is 30 billion VND; construction team No. 2 is 30 billion VND; construction team No. 3 is 90 billion VND; construction team No. 4 is 75 billion VND.

"Participating units are required to focus on mobilizing additional machinery, equipment, quality management personnel, internal personnel, and sufficient finance in a timely manner; organizing overtime and continuous shift work; coordinating to resolve difficulties and problems, to ensure the completion of the set targets and the completion of the disbursement plan registered with the investor.

"The construction process is carried out day and night, absolutely not allowing any loss of labor safety, traffic safety, ensuring environmental hygiene, security and order... minimizing the impact on the lives and production of people in the area," Mr. Hai informed.

Also according to the leader of the Central Group, at the end of the emulation period, the package management board will summarize and reflect the true situation and implementation results of the units, commend good people and good deeds on the construction site, typical advanced and outstanding examples, good, innovative and effective practices, evaluate the ability and capacity to complete the project on schedule to have appropriate and timely adjustment solutions.

"To encourage the spirit of engineers and workers, units that perform well will receive worthy rewards.

Specifically, the unit that completes 100% of the target will receive a reward worth 150 million VND/unit. The reward for good, innovative, and effective ways of doing things is 20 million VND/initiative.

Outstanding individuals will receive a reward of 10 million VND/individual," said General Director Le Thanh Hai.

Leaders of Central Construction Group gave gifts to encourage construction teams at the emulation launching ceremony.

Sharing more, the General Director of the Central Construction Group said that, within the scope of the project, up to now, the construction output of the unit has reached nearly 50% of the contract value.

"During the construction process, the project encountered many major challenges when the volume of soil exploited for roadbed construction did not meet the plan; In 2024, the weather was also not favorable when there was still a lot of rain from October to December, greatly affecting the organization of simultaneous construction.

However, implementing the direction of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Transport and the investor, we will mobilize maximum resources, accelerate the remaining items, and ensure the project is put into synchronous operation by September 2025," affirmed the leader of the Central Construction Group.
