(Dan Tri) - Shishichengfei High School in Sichuan province (China) had to apologize for setting up a cafeteria exclusively for excellent students.
As soon as the news of the cafeteria reserved for gifted students at Shishichengfei High School became known to the Chinese public, public opinion was fiercely debated.
This special area is reserved for students who achieve excellent scores in monthly tests and final exams.
Here, excellent students are given special meals. Their tables are also arranged in a separate area with a sign that says: "This is an area reserved for excellent students."

After the controversy, the school explained that this area was originally designed to honor students who excelled in their studies. They would receive special lunches and small gifts from the school.
Students who do not achieve good grades will eat in the usual area. However, as soon as the public was in controversy because of the school's discrimination during mealtime, the school representative apologized.
The school admitted that this method of recognition was not thorough, causing controversy among the public. Immediately after realizing the shortcomings, the school eliminated the cafeteria area for gifted students. The school also pledged to pay more attention to the comprehensive development of each student.
In fact, besides the opinions opposing the establishment of a separate dining area for gifted students, there are also opinions defending the school board.
Some parents believe that Chinese students are still judged mainly by grades and exams. Therefore, it is normal for schools to have new ways to reward good students. In fact, this method can help students get used to the pressure and fierce competition in work and life later.
