"At the age of 12, I was adopted by the regiment. At the age of 16, I joined the local guerrillas. At the age of 17, I gathered in the North with the Inter-Zone V Performing Arts Troupe. After that, I also taught and trained in the military environment, went to practice in border areas, islands... Therefore, the image of soldiers is an endless source of topics for my musical compositions," the musician said.

Musician The Bao sent 12 selected works about soldiers to the program.

Among hundreds of songs about soldiers, musician The Bao chose 12 works to introduce to the audience in the program. He shared that the image of Uncle Ho's soldiers from wartime to peacetime is extremely dear and close to the people. The music program includes choirs and some songs about soldiers such as: Return to Truong Son, Sending the wind to carry fragrance, March of the Army Academy, Midnight, Heroic Vietnamese Air Force, Season of daisies, March of the young soldier of the Eastern region ...

Musician The Bao's full name is Tran The Bao, born on August 22, 1937 in Binh Duong (Binh Son District, Quang Ngai), in a family with a tradition of literature and art. His father is poet Tran Tat To, his older brother is poet Te Hanh. During his career, musician The Bao is considered a multi-talented person as he composes songs, composes instrumental music, writes books on music theory and also teaches. Musician The Bao defended his doctorate in musicology and was awarded the title of associate professor in 1991. He was awarded the Second Class Labor Medal in 2004. In 2017, he was awarded the State Prize.
