On October 30, at Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST), FPT Corporation organized the program FPT Leader Talk - Journey To Your Future with the theme "Turning Potential into Talent", attracting nearly 1,300 students to participate and more than 15,000 online followers. The program had the participation of 2 guests who are both alumni of Hanoi University of Science and Technology: Mr. Hoang Nam Tien - Vice Chairman of the Board of FPT University, Mr. Nguyen The An - AI Research Engineer at FPT Software AI Center, Valedictorian of Hanoi University of Science and Technology with GPA 4.0/4.0.
Vice Chairman of the Board of FPT University - Mr. Hoang Nam Tien affirmed: "Every Polytechnic student possesses extremely excellent points, different potentials for unlimited development". However, he said, most young people have not yet discovered their potential because they are easily compromised with failure and give up after stumbling. This is one of the main reasons why nearly 90% of students after graduation will become ordinary people in the AI era. Only the remaining 10% can build capacity and become different thanks to perseverance, effort, creativity and the will to learn for life.

“Practical learning is the foundation of success. Real money must come from real effort and labor,” Mr. Tien said, at the same time advising each student to change the way they study, moving from passive listening to lectures to proactive self-learning from teachers, teammates, friends and especially AI.
According to him, AI brings many favorable conditions for young people to develop, but the most important thing is still how to apply AI correctly and effectively: "According to forecasts, by 2023, nearly 40% of jobs in the world could be affected by AI. This does not mean that AI takes away job opportunities for young people, but those who know how to use AI will do that. Therefore, the generation that masters AI will be respected and become future leaders in the technology era."
Analyzing the advantages of HUST students and job opportunities in the technology industry, Mr. Tien gave typical examples of human resources at FPT. He said that more than 1,000 people working at FPT units are former students of the University of Science and Technology, of which nearly 200 are currently holding leadership positions. Hanoi University of Science and Technology is a place that nurtures the dreams of many generations of students, providing a solid foundation to help them shape their passion and develop their potential to fly high and far.
Mr. Hoang Nam Tien affirmed that students should strive to study because the knowledge learned from the Polytechnics will be applied 90% in work. And in the FPT working environment, FPT offers unlimited opportunities for self-development. Here, young people have the opportunity to experience a global working environment, study and work with leading experts, hone their skills and be constantly updated on technology, opening up a personal development path.
In the Q&A session, speakers Hoang Nam Tien, Nguyen The An and host Dao Viet Bach listened and answered students' questions about how to overcome difficulties, pressure and job opportunities at FPT. Sharing from the perspective of a former student, Mr. Nguyen The An advised: "Students should balance between studying and working according to their abilities. From the third year, you should choose to participate in a research lab or intern at a leading enterprise to explore your strengths, weaknesses and suitability, helping to orient your future career correctly."
Host Dao Viet Bach - Head of Recruitment and Talent Attraction Department of FPT Software Academy also shared about the cooperation between FPT Corporation and HUST in the field of training and research on 4.0 technology. After 4 years of signing the agreement, this cooperation has opened up many opportunities for Polytechnic students to participate in research projects as well as early experience in a professional working environment at FPT.
