Efforts to eliminate "black spots" in information cables

In order to continue promoting the implementation of the Project on information cable arrangement, ensuring the safety of telecommunications infrastructure, electrical safety and urban beauty in the province, relevant departments, units and telecommunications enterprises have been making efforts to tidy up the information cable system, eliminating "black spots" and unnecessary cable lines on main roads.

Renovating information cables contributes to ensuring urban safety and beauty.

According to the Department of Science and Technology, according to the plan, by 2025, the whole province will have over 18 km of main roads with dozens of cable lines being upgraded according to regulations on information cable management.

Information cable maintenance activities focus on clearing and recovering unused and unowned cables and arranging information cables to ensure traffic safety, power grid safety, fire safety and environmental landscape; improve the quality of telecommunication services, and minimize damage and impacts during flood and storm seasons.

According to regulations, if after 10 working days from the date of receiving the notice of information cable adjustment, the information cable management unit does not cooperate in handling the matter, the management units have the right to cut it off and will not be responsible.

However, in order for the work of arranging information cables to be thoroughly and effectively implemented, in addition to strengthening the organization of inspection and handling of information cables that are hung improperly, especially handling "black spots" of information cables, newly installed cables that are not in accordance with regulations on the routes that have been arranged, it is necessary to have more drastic coordination of telecommunications units in burying telecommunications cables according to the plan, to ensure safety and urban aesthetics.
