According to Tuoi Tre Online 's investigation, four banks and SJC Company increased the gold selling price because the State Bank increased the gold selling price for banks.

Experts say that the increase in the price of SJC gold bars was predicted in advance. The reason is that the world gold price has increased too quickly in recent days. Yesterday, there was a time when the world gold price exceeded 2,480 USD/ounce.

Converted at the listed exchange rate at the bank, it exceeded 76.06 million VND/tael, which is higher than the price that the State Bank sold directly to four state-owned commercial banks and SJC Company.

This morning, the world gold price was at 2,467 USD/ounce. Converted according to the exchange rate listed at the bank, the world gold price is equivalent to 75.67 million VND/tael, excluding taxes and fees. Therefore, if the selling price is maintained as it has been for the past month, the selling price of gold will be below the cost price.

According to expert Tran Duy Phuong, the State Bank's adjustment of gold prices is reasonable because the world gold price has increased too quickly recently.

Furthermore, the State Bank intervenes in the market with the aim of increasing supply and reducing the gap between domestic and world gold prices, not with the aim of anchoring the gold price. Therefore, if the world gold price increases, the domestic gold price must also increase.

The current market selling price of 80 million VND/tael is 4.33 million VND/tael higher than the converted world gold price, excluding tax and other costs.

Gold ring prices also "follow the rain"

After the gold selling price at 4 banks and SJC Company increased, in the free market, the gold bar trading price also increased from 81.5 million VND/tael to 82.5 million VND/tael for selling, and the buying price also increased to 81.54 million VND/tael.

While the selling price of 9999 gold rings today continues to increase following the increase in gold bar prices.

Bao Tin Minh Chau Company listed today's selling price of gold rings at 77.58 million VND/tael. The buying price is at 76.58 million VND/tael.

DOJI Company listed the selling price of 9999 gold rings at 77.65 million VND/tael. The buying price is at 76.45 million VND/tael.

At SJC Company, the selling price of 9999 gold rings increased from 76.88 million VND/tael to 77.5 million VND/tael. The buying price is at 76.1 million VND/tael.
