In the 2025-2026 school year, Ho Chi Minh City will have 76,435 candidates applying for regular grade 10, 5,550 candidates applying for specialized grade 10, and 1,169 candidates applying for integrated grade 10.
Ho Chi Minh City currently has 3 specialized schools: Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted, Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted, and the Gifted High School is under the management of Ho Chi Minh City National University.

Previously, the Gifted High School (HCMC National University) announced an adjustment in admission time for students admitted to grade 10.
The reason for the adjustment in admission time is because today (June 23), the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City announced the admission scores for two specialized schools in Ho Chi Minh City, Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted and Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted.

The time adjustment is to create conditions for candidates who are admitted to both the Gifted High School and another specialized school (Le Hong Phong Specialized High School, Tran Dai Nghia Specialized High School) to choose to confirm their admission to the school as desired.
According to the Gifted High School, in the above case (admitted to two schools at the same time), candidates need to choose and decide immediately on June 23, 24 and 25. If choosing Le Hong Phong or Tran Dai Nghia High School, follow the instructions of the HCM City Department of Education and Training. If you have decided to enroll in the Gifted High School, do not click to confirm online enrollment on the systems of the HCM City Department of Education and Training.
