
People's Artist Thu Que, born in 1969, is a veteran face of Vietnamese cinema. She worked for a long time at the Army Drama Theater and holds the rank of Colonel.
On her personal page, People's Artist Thu Que just announced good news at the age of 56: "July 7, 2025 - the day of honor and pride when the Senior Chief of the General Department of Politics handed over the decision to increase the Colonel's salary for the second time".
The female artist also reviewed her career with more than 40 years of military service. In February 1984, Thu Que was recruited into the Art Troupe of Military Region 2 when she was only 14 and a half years old.
In 1985, she was chosen to perform a play with her older brothers and sisters in 6 northern border provinces.
At the age of 16, Thu Que acted in her first feature film - Fairy Tales for 17 year olds. At the same time, she modeled, studied drama, and worked on border missions to serve officers and soldiers in 6 northern border provinces.
At the end of 1988, Thu Que transferred to a contract with the Ministry of Interior Drama Troupe, now the Police Troupe. In 1990, she was recruited into the Army Drama Troupe - now the Army Drama Theater - and has worked there until now.

In 2007, Thu Que received the title of Meritorious Artist and was promoted to People's Artist in 2016 at the age of 47. One year later, she was promoted to Colonel. In 2021, People's Artist Thu Que was promoted to Colonel for the first time and continued to be promoted to Colonel for the second time on July 7. "Did anyone say Thu Que was just lucky to achieve People's Artist and become Colonel?", she wrote.
Not only a beauty on stage and screen, Thu Que is also known to the audience for her strong marriage with Meritorious Artist Pham Cuong, who used to hold the position of Director of the People's Army Cinema. Last year, the two artists appeared together in the film Heart Rescue Station.
