NTO - Ethnic Council of the Provincial People's Council: Reviewing the report related to the implementation of the Economic Development Program

Accordingly, in order to have a basis for allocating capital for the national target program on socio -economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas for the period 2021-2030 in the province (phase 1 from 2021-2025), implementing the direction of the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Ethnic Committee has organized to collect comments from relevant departments, branches and localities and sent them to the Department of Justice for appraisal; at the same time, receiving and synthesizing the draft resolution to submit to the Provincial People's Council for consideration and approval. The basic contents of the draft resolution include: Principles for allocating medium-term and annual capital; criteria and norms for allocating central budget capital; regulations on the proportion of local budget counterpart capital.

The leader of the Provincial People's Council's Ethnic Committee spoke at the meeting.

At the meeting, members of the Provincial People's Council's Ethnic Committee basically agreed with the contents of the draft presented in the resolution; at the same time, proposed that the Ethnic Committee review and supplement further clarification on the principles of capital allocation for investment and support projects in the areas of beneficiary communes; criteria for allocating investment capital for essential infrastructure, serving production and life of ethnic minority areas; funding for local counterpart budget allocation for each specific program and project... Ensuring that when the Provincial People's Council's resolution is issued, it will create favorable conditions for management as well as accelerate the progress of implementing the goals and tasks of the program in the coming time.
