Female student in Khanh Hoa was beaten and stripped by a group of schoolmates

Ms. Vo Thi Hong Bich (42 years old, residing in Van Thanh commune, Van Ninh district) said that her daughter, VTND - a 9th grade student at Van Thanh Secondary School, was repeatedly beaten and stripped by a group of classmates at the same school many times.

Among them, 5 classmates at the school regularly forced D. to deserted areas to beat her. The climax was when the group of female students filmed a clip of them beating and stripping D. and shared it on social media.

After being beaten by a gang of friends, ND stayed home from school.

The family did not know about the incident until the clip was shared on social media and then asked their son. After that, the family filed a complaint with the Van Thanh Commune Police Department, Van Ninh District.

The reason D explained to his family was that his friends gave him money to order a shirt online. But after ordering, his friends did not take it and demanded back the 450,000 VND they had previously given him.

D did not have money to pay so her friends beat her and threatened her not to tell her family. The incident happened more than a month ago but the school and local authorities have not yet dealt with it. Also out of shame, Ms. Bich's daughter has asked for permission to stay home.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Khoa - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Van Thanh Commune, Van Ninh District, Khanh Hoa Province said that this was a sad incident that needed to be handled to educate students. After the clip was released, the locality, the Commune Police, the school and the parents of the students in the clip had a meeting.

Here, the local authorities have asked the above students to apologize to the victim's family. The police will have a report on the results of the investigation and send it to the school to take disciplinary action against students who commit acts of school violence.
