At the school proposed to award the Second Class Labor Medal

After 34 years of striving to build and grow, Quai Cang Secondary School, Tuan Giao District, (Dien Bien) has gradually affirmed its position, becoming a bright spot in the district's education and training sector.

Talking with teacher Nguyen Phu Tan, Principal of the school, shared: To have the results like today is the whole process of trying, striving, overcoming all difficulties of the teaching staff and generations of students of the school.

Identifying the improvement of education quality as the top goal, the school's Board of Directors always focuses on the capacity and qualifications of the teaching staff, strengthening the confidence, educating students to be self-aware and have the will to strive to improve in their studies. The school's Board of Directors, together with organizations and heads of professional groups, regularly supervise, urge, and periodically inspect the school's topics. The school's teachers actively participate in activities to innovate teaching methods, effectively implement school-level and cluster-level topics, and resolve difficulties and obstacles in innovating teaching methods and using teaching equipment.

In addition to teaching knowledge in textbooks, the school also regularly supplements students with practical knowledge through field trips.

With the motto "Taking quality to maintain quantity", the school has directed to increase the application of active teaching techniques, focusing on students as the center, innovating professional activities in the direction of lesson research. Teachers are encouraged to write topics and initiatives on management and teaching, many of which are recognized as grassroots initiatives. During the school years, the school organizes teaching demonstrations to help teachers improve their professional qualifications. At the same time, teachers are encouraged to actively apply information technology in teaching; pay attention to training competent teachers to become good teachers.

Currently, 100% of the school's staff, officers, teachers and employees have qualified and above standard, meeting the requirements of comprehensive educational reform. Many teachers and employees have solid skills and are key teachers of the industry, the district and the province.

The school's educational quality has increased dramatically: The rate of mobilizing students to attend class every year is 100%. In the 2023-2024 school year, there are 17 classes, an increase of 2 classes compared to the previous school year; the number of current students: 629/620 compared to the assigned plan, reaching 101.5%. The rate of good and excellent students of the school is high, the rate of weak students every year is 0%.

The quality of key education has achieved excellent results. In the 2022-2023 school year, the results of the provincial cultural subject exams showed that 9 out of 11 students participating in the exam won prizes, accounting for 81.8%, an increase of 1% compared to the 2021-2022 school year, including 2 first prizes. In the 2023-2024 school year, 11 students participated in the exam, of which 9 students won prizes, including 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes, and 3 consolation prizes.

Cultural and sports activities are always given attention and comprehensively developed by the school.

Over the years, Quai Cang Secondary School has achieved many impressive and proud achievements. For many consecutive years, the school has been recognized as an Excellent Labor Collective, and has been awarded Certificates of Merit and Excellent Emulation Flags by the Ministry of Education and Training and the Provincial People's Committee. In the 2016-2017 school year, the school was awarded the Excellent Emulation Flag by the Ministry of Education and Training for the unit "Leading the movement of innovation in teaching and learning". In the 2014-2015 school year, the school was recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as a national standard school and recognized and granted a certificate of educational institution achieving level 3 educational quality by the Department of Education and Training. In particular, in the 2017-2018 school year, the school was honored to receive the Third Class Labor Medal from the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam for its outstanding achievements in education and training from the 2013-2014 school year to the 2017-2018 school year, contributing to the construction of Socialism and National Defense.

In the emulation movement, for 5 consecutive years from the 2019-2020 school year to the 2023-2024 school year, the school has achieved the emulation titles: "Advanced Labor Collective"; "Excellent Labor Collective"; 4 years of achieving the excellent "Emulation Flag" title of the People's Committee of Dien Bien province.

Every teacher at the school is always a role model for students to learn and follow.

The achievements of teachers and students of Quai Cang Secondary School in the past school years have been creating trust for the Party Committee, government, parents and students in the school with many years of construction and development. In particular, with the school's excellent competition results for 5 consecutive years, the school is qualified to propose the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to award the Second Class Labor Medal.
