This evening (December 14), Di An City Police, Binh Duong Province said that the unit's rescue force is coordinating with the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Binh Duong Province Police, Dong Nai Province Police and Inland Waterways Port Authority to actively search for the missing car that fell into the river.
According to initial information, at around 6pm the same day, a 7-seat car was traveling on Dong Nai bridge from Binh Duong province to Dong Nai. When almost reaching the end of the bridge, the car suddenly lost control, broke the iron railing and plunged into the river and disappeared.
Discovering the incident, passersby immediately notified the authorities to search and rescue.
At the scene, the left handrail of Dong Nai bridge from Ho Chi Minh City to Dong Nai was broken for more than 20 meters, many iron bars fell into the river. The location where the car fell was the gap between the old Dong Nai bridge and the new bridge, with a distance of about 3 meters.
According to some witnesses, the car that fell into the river was a 7-seater, the number of people on board is currently unknown. The area where the car fell is in Di An City, Binh Duong Province.
Di An City Police leaders said that as of 8:20 p.m. the same day, the car had not been found.
