The Group's leadership and key staff have confidently introduced comrade Le Ngoc Son, currently Deputy General Director, for consideration and appointment by competent authorities to the position of Member of the Board of Directors and General Director of Petrovietnam.

On February 22 and 23 in Hanoi , the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam) held a conference on personnel work, implementing the process of introducing personnel to appoint the positions of Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Member of the Board of Members, and General Director of the Group.

Petrovietnam has fully implemented the process of introducing personnel for the position of General Director of the Group.

The steps to introduce personnel for the positions of Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee in charge of production and business, Member of the Board of Directors, and General Director of the Group have been thoroughly, firmly, and tightly implemented by the Group, ensuring compliance with Party regulations and State laws, witnessed by guests from the Office of the Government Party Committee, the Party Committee of the Central Enterprises Bloc, the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises, and the Ministry of Home Affairs .

Mr. Le Ngoc Son is currently a member of the Party Executive Committee, Deputy General Director of Petrovietnam, and is the person selected to be introduced to competent authorities for consideration and appointment as General Director of the Group.

Mr. Le Ngoc Son was born in February 1972. Before becoming Deputy General Director of Petrivietnam (from April 5, 2021), he held the position of Head of Oil and Gas Exploitation Department of Petrovietnam. Previously, he was General Director of Phu Quoc Petroleum Operating Company (PQPOC).
