The couple Phan Hien - Thu Huong won 3 Gold medals in the categories: 5 Latin all-around dances, Samba solo and Paso Doble solo .

To prepare for this important tournament, the couple went to Europe for a month of training and were delighted to receive the good news of retaining the Southeast Asian championship title. Previously, they had brought home 3 gold medals at the 31st SEA Games in the Latin, Paso Doble and Jive categories.
Notably, last year Phan Hien - Thu Huong became the first two Vietnamese Dancesport athletes to enter the Top 41 in the world thanks to their impressive achievements at the 2024 World Open Latin competition. Currently, they are in the Top 49 of the WDSF World Rankings.
Vietnam Dancesport Festival 2025 is organized by the Vietnam Gymnastics Federation in collaboration with KTA King The Art and the World Dancesport Federation (WDSF), marking the first time this event has taken place in Vietnam. Previously, the tournament had only been held three times in China.
The tournament, with more than 4,000 registrations, attracted thousands of athletes from 37 countries and territories and more than 100 international referees. The event took place from July 9-13 with the Southeast Asian, Asian and World Open championships.
Phan Hien - Thu Huong's success cannot be achieved without the contribution of "Dancesport Queen" Khanh Thi. Although she has stopped competing internationally, Khanh Thi is currently the coach behind the scenes, directly training and creating choreography for the couple. Thu Huong is known as Khanh Thi's "favorite student", the person who discovered and trained her from the very beginning.
Phan Hien - Khanh Thi's husband, became a grandmaster at the age of 16 when he and his wife won the Gold Medal at the Asian Dancesport Championship in 2009. In addition to competing, the couple also participated in many game shows and opened an art training center in Ho Chi Minh City.
