Vietnam - China fireworks light up Han River, attracting tourists on final night

The top fireworks performance of the Vietnamese and Chinese teams lit up the Han River, attracting tourists in the final night of DIFF 2025.

On the evening of July 12, the final night of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF 2025) witnessed a spectacular competition between two fireworks teams: Z121 Vina Pyrotech - a unit under the Ministry of National Defense representing Vietnam and Jiangxi Yangfeng team from China.

The Han River sparkled with the fireworks competition between the two teams in the final night.

In their performance, team Z121 made a strong impression on the audience with their emotional, subtle storytelling that was associated with national identity. More than 7,000 fireworks were used to create a series of horizontal sweeping effects, spiral fireworks, multi-layered cluster fireworks... bringing the audience into an emotional artistic space.

This is the first time that the host team Vietnam has entered the final round after 18 years of the competition. Their opponent is the current runner-up of DIFF 2024.

The festival atmosphere was pushed to a climax when the heroic song "Vietnam's Spirit" resounded, followed by a performance of red and yellow colors like the national flag fluttering in the night sky.

The team’s performance left a strong impression when the song “Aspiration for Peace ” was played amidst the fireworks that filled the sky. The effect of flowers blooming in the air and exploding on the water made the Han River sparkle in the night. The performance ended with applause from thousands of spectators in the stands.

The Vietnamese team left an impression on the audience with a unique series of fireworks effects.

Meanwhile, Jiangxi Yangfeng team asserted their strength with a performance featuring varied lighting effects, perfectly combined with 10 multi-tonal pieces of music.

In particular, the Chinese team created a surprise when they incorporated the Vietnamese song "Bac Bling" into the vibrant fireworks display, synchronized with the series of mid- and low-level fireworks running across the water surface, creating an effect like a dance of light connecting the two cultures.

The team from China asserted its strength with a performance featuring transformative lighting effects.

The finale was the song Mountain Call played amidst a backdrop of high-altitude fireworks, sparkling gold and silver combined with continuous glitter fireworks... leaving an impression on locals and tourists.

In the end, Jiangxi Yangfeng team from China won the DIFF 2025 championship. Z121 Vina Pyrotech team from Vietnam won the runner-up prize.

The Da Nang International Fireworks Festival ended with the championship going to Jiangxi Yangfeng team from China.

Statistical reports show that, during the finals alone, the number of guests served by accommodation establishments in Da Nang reached nearly 98,000, an increase of 6.4% over the same period in 2024. Of which, international guests increased by 81% and domestic guests increased by 18% over the same period. Hotels in coastal areas and the city center were almost fully booked with an occupancy rate of nearly 100%.

Da Nang International Airport recorded 171 domestic and international flights on July 11 – a record number, far exceeding the same period last year. Han River cruise ships also filled 90% of their capacity for fireworks viewing tickets.

With more than 10,000 live audiences and millions of followers on television and social networks, the final night of DIFF 2025 affirmed the irreplaceable position of this festival in Vietnam's cultural and tourism life.
