Launching the Traffic Safety Journalism Award

The purpose is to promptly commend, honor, encourage and reward authors and press works that are valuable in content, form, impact and positive spread to society in the work of ensuring traffic order and safety; thereby encouraging and motivating press agencies and authors to actively participate in propagating and disseminating laws on traffic order and safety, contributing to reducing traffic accidents in a sustainable manner nationwide.

Contestants are Vietnamese citizens (individuals or groups of authors) aged 14 years or older at the time of submission. Contest entries include the following genres: Reflections, interviews, notes, comments, investigative reports, journalistic notes, photos... in print, electronic, spoken, visual, press photos and clips/short films.

Works participating in the "Press and propaganda on traffic safety in 2024" Award focus on the following contents: Propaganda of the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws on ensuring traffic order and safety; resolutions, policies, strategies and plans of the Government to implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress on breakthroughs in traffic infrastructure to contribute to promoting socio -economic development, reducing traffic accidents; activities to implement the theme "Respecting the law to build a safe traffic culture" of Traffic Safety Year 2024.

Results of the implementation of Directive No. 23/CT-TW dated May 25, 2023 of the Central Party Secretariat on strengthening the Party's leadership in ensuring order and traffic safety on roads, railways, inland waterways and overcoming traffic congestion in the new situation; Directive No. 31/CT-TTG dated December 21, 2023 of the Prime Minister on strengthening the work of ensuring order and traffic safety for school-age children in the new situation;... At the same time, commend ministries, branches, localities, agencies, organizations, collectives and individuals with good solutions, good practices, and exemplary models in ensuring order and traffic safety. Timely detect and encourage good people and good deeds in rescue, sharing, and helping victims of traffic accidents...

The Traffic Safety Committee of Binh Phuoc province requested the Binh Phuoc Radio - Television and Newspaper, the Department of Information and Communications, and the Standing Committee of the District Traffic Safety Committee to mobilize reporters, editors, and collaborators of press and media agencies... in the fields, agencies, and localities under their management to actively send entries to participate in the 2024 Traffic Safety Propaganda and Journalism Award.
