Launching the "Tree Planting Festival to forever remember Uncle Ho" at the Hung Temple National Historical Site

On February 3, at the Hung Temple National Historical Site (Viet Tri City, Phu Tho Province), the launching ceremony of "Tree Planting Festival to forever remember Uncle Ho" Spring At Ty 2025 took place.

Attending the launching ceremony were leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Committee, leaders of departments and branches of Phu Tho province and hundreds of people and volunteers.

At the launching ceremony, Chairman of Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee Bui Van Quang affirmed: Along with the whole country, "Tet tree planting to forever remember Uncle Ho" every Spring has become a tradition, custom, cultural beauty, a mass movement widely deployed by the Party Committee, Government and people of all ethnic groups in Phu Tho province. This is a meaningful activity, demonstrating the determination to study and follow President Ho Chi Minh 's call for Tet tree planting; at the same time, it is a concrete and practical action, demonstrating the determination of Phu Tho province in conserving nature, developing and protecting forests, protecting the ecological environment, sustainable living environment for today and tomorrow...

According to Mr. Bui Van Quang, in recent years, the tree planting and forestation movement in Phu Tho province has been widely implemented and achieved positive results. On average, each year, the province plants over 9,000 hectares of concentrated forests and 2 million scattered trees. Income from the forest economy is increasing. The movement of planting trees and shade trees in urban areas, agencies, schools, and traffic routes is increasingly effective; contributing to protecting and improving the ecological environment, improving the landscape, mitigating natural disasters, and actively contributing to socio-economic development and new rural construction.

In the planning and strategy for socio-economic development, Phu Tho always determines to ensure harmonious development between the economy and protection of resources and environment; transforming the growth model towards improving efficiency and added value associated with green growth; creating a sustainable living environment, good quality of life for people, associated with sustainable use of resources, ecosystems and promoting the cultural values ​​of the Ancestral Land.

In order for the movement "Tet tree planting to forever remember Uncle Ho" in 2025 to achieve practical results, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Phu Tho province called on all levels, sectors, localities, agencies, enterprises, armed forces and people of all ethnic groups in the province to continue to widely propagate the great effects of tree planting and afforestation; clearly aware of the responsibility to protect the ecological environment. Actively participate in tree planting and afforestation; strive to exceed the target of planting over 9,000 hectares of concentrated forests; planting and converting 2,500 hectares of large timber trees, planting scattered trees with over 2 million trees. Continue to do a good job of managing, protecting and developing natural forests, upstream protection forests, special-use forests associated with ecotourism development; promote intensive cultivation of production forests, improve productivity, quality, and economic efficiency in forestry production and forest economy.
