To examine the association between exercise, timing of exercise, and overall mortality risk , researchers used health and demographic data from 92,000 people in a UK biomedical database.
Exercising in the afternoon is more effective in reducing the risk of premature death than exercising in the morning or evening.
All participants wore monitors to track exercise time and fitness levels.
The researchers then classified these people into four groups according to the timing of their exercise as follows:
Morning exercise: From 5am to 11am.
Afternoon exercise: From 11am to 5pm.
Evening exercise: From 5pm to night.
A group exercise at any given time, at different times of the day.
After 7 years, 3,088 people died, of which 1,076 died from heart disease and 1,872 died from cancer...
Results showed that people who exercised in the afternoon had a lower risk of early death than those who exercised in the morning or evening, according to health news site Everyday Health .
But the study authors also found that exercising at any time of day was better than not exercising at all.
The authors suggest that this result may be related to the body's circadian rhythm.

A 2020 study also found that exercising between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. improved blood sugar control more than exercising in the morning.
Who will benefit most from an afternoon workout?
The elderly, the obese, people with heart disease and night shift workers will reap more benefits from afternoon exercise. The reason is that they feel more energetic in the late afternoon than in the morning.
The best time to exercise after a meal depends on many factors, but ideally it's at least two hours after a full meal, or one hour after a snack, according to the Indian Express .
